We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning online shop and our content and services. The legal bases are in particular Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR (consent), (b) (performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps), (c) (legal obligation) and (f) (legitimate interests).
Our online shop runs on the platform of Shopify (Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 2nd Floor, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland; where applicable involving Shopify Inc., Canada). On our behalf, Shopify processes order, contact, payment and usage data to enable the operation of the shop, under a data processing agreement (Article 28 UK GDPR). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and efficient shop operation (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) and performance of the contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).
Each time our website is accessed, information is recorded automatically (including IP address, date and time, page accessed, amount of data transferred, browser type and operating system). This data helps ensure the smooth operation and security of our systems. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR.
We use cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies (for example for the basket and checkout) are used on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR. For non-essential cookies (in particular marketing and tracking cookies) we obtain your consent via a consent banner, as required by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, or adjust it via the cookie settings.
To process your order we process the data you provide (in particular name, delivery and billing address, e-mail address, telephone number where applicable, and payment data). The processing is for performance of the contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR) and to comply with retention obligations under tax and accounting law (Article 6(1)(c) UK GDPR).
To process payments we share your payment data with the payment service provider you choose. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR. Depending on the payment method, these are in particular:
These providers process your data as independent controllers in line with their own privacy policies.
To deliver your order we share your name, delivery address and – where needed for the dispatch notification – your e-mail address or telephone number with the commissioned carrier. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR.
If you sign up for our newsletter, we process your e-mail address to send you information about products and offers, via Shopify Email (Shopify International Limited, Ireland). Registration uses a double opt-in procedure. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every e-mail or by contacting us.
Where you have consented, we use the TikTok Pixel of TikTok Technology Limited (10 Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin 2, D02 T380, Ireland) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising, evaluate conversions and show interest-based advertising. Data (including about your device and usage) may be transferred to TikTok Inc. (USA) and affiliated companies in countries outside the UK. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR and PECR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. Further information is in TikTok’s own privacy policy.
As we are based in Germany and use service providers in the EU and other countries, your data may be transferred outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law (such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum).
You have the right of access (Article 15 UK GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20) and the right to object (Article 21). You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future (Article 7(3) UK GDPR). A message to hello@stryde.life is enough to exercise your rights.
If you are in the UK, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:
Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF, United
Kingdom – ico.org.uk, helpline 0303 123 1113.
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant purposes or as required by statutory retention periods (in particular under tax and accounting law).
We use SSL/TLS encryption to protect the transmission of your data. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the padlock symbol in your browser.
This privacy policy is currently valid. As our offer develops or legal requirements change, it may need to be updated.
